Sustainability & Impact

Pippa Dziubinski with daughter EvaThe Little Art Collection was founded in 2017 by mum of two, Pippa Dziubinski.
We create unique and interesting printed babywear in collaboration with British artists. Most of our designs are inspired by a joint love of nature, and to that end we only work with natural or naturally derived fabrics.

As the business has grown, so has our family and we find ourselves increasingly mindful of this incredible planet that we are lucky enough to call home.

Our purpose remains the same – to create pretty and practical baby essentials for mum and baby to enjoy, and we promise to do this to the highest standard. For us this means more than just quality, it means taking environmental and ethical accountability for our supply chain. It means being transparent with our customers about what we are selling and where it has come from to enable them to make conscious and well-informed decisions. No wishy washy value statements here, just truths.

This page outlines some of the ways in which we are working to minimise our environmental impact and you can also find the specifics listed against each product.

  • We are a plastic-free business and work with like-minded (predominantly UK) suppliers. Any plastic that does arrive into the business is reused for storing stock or recycled

  • We only use packaging materials that are environmentally friendly, made from recycled materials, are reusable, recyclable and/or FSC certified

  • We offset carbon emissions associated with our products by planting a tree with every order. Watch our forest grow here

  • We only work with factories that have been vetted for safety, working conditions and environmental impact. The raw materials for our products are sourced from GOTS certified factories

  • We make our products from organic, natural or naturally derived fabrics. This includes bamboo which is a manmade fabric using cellulose extracted from bamboo, you can read more about the bamboo fabric production process here

  • We make 99% of our products here in the UK, by 2022 all products will be made here, this helps us to reduce carbon emissions, manage quality and product longevity, and supports the British economy

  • We don’t agree with ‘fast fashion’ and will keep our best sellers available for you to buy

  • We will never burn stock or dump it in landfill. Any stock that cannot be sold is donated to charity or provided to local schools for arts and crafts projects

We are proud of what we are building and inspired by the prospect of green-driven change. Thank you for supporting us on this journey.
