Poppy Bamboo Muslins

Continue Shopping or View Cart

Our muslin squares are made from 100% bamboo muslin - a beautifully soft alternative to traditional cotton baby muslins which can be scratchy and rough on delicate skin. Unlike other luxury fabrics, bamboo muslin is machine washable for every day use, it is also highly absorbent, organic and better for the environment than cotton. Our muslin squares are;

  • Extremely soft – due to the naturally round and smooth fibres of the bamboo plant

  • Highly absorbent – for pulling moisture away from the skin

  • Organic - the bamboo plant has no natural pests and doesn't need pesticides to grow

  • Versatile - generously sized at 70cm x 70cm they can be used as lightweight baby blankets when baby is small, and large muslins as baby grows

  • Machine washable – for everyday use

  • Breathable – with an open weave to help moderate temperature

  • Unique – all of our designs have been designed and made in Britain in collaboration with aspiring British-based artists. Information about each artist is included alongside your order

‘FIELD POPPIES’ – Artist Kat Garbutt

The art for our Poppy bamboo muslins was created by Glasgow School of Art student Kat Garbutt. Kat studies Textile Design and was drawn to textiles by its bright colours and varied textures. She tries not to over-think her work and instead prefers to let the images emerge organically. She grew up in rural Cornwall and finds inspiration in the outdoors, but has also spent time studying in Japan which continues to heavily influence her practice. On completing her degree, she aspires to continue creating playful textile designs for children.
